This course supports childcare practitioners to understand the roles and responsibilities of the Designated Safeguarding Person in relation the procedures to be followed when an of allegation has been made against a staff member, student or volunteer.
This training will consider government guidance for the management of allegations and the policies and procedures that must be adhered to and provide practical support and guidance to ensure it is followed.
Participants will have a clear understanding of procedure to be followed in the event of an allegation being made against a staff member, student or volunteer.
All Staff attending training must sign the register as it is evidence of attendance. If a candidate does not sign the register then they could be recorded as not attending and receive a non-attendance charge. Should a staff member arrive at a training course without booking on through our online training system www.seftoneducation.uk that staff member could be refused access to the training course and turned away. Cancellations are accepted providing they are received no later than three working days prior to the course date. For example, if your course is on a Friday, you must cancel before Wednesday of that week. All cancellations must be made through the on-line training system www.seftoneducation.uk Cancellations made without giving three working days’ notice before the commencement of the course or for non-attendance to the training event, or any part of it will incur a £30 cancellation charge
