Earlier in the year Ofsted announced that Early Years settings are not physical enough. This course therefore will explore the importance of supporting physical development in the early years. The links between physical activity and healthy brain development will be considered and Practitioners will be given practical ideas which can be used back at the setting.
This course will support practitioners to meet the Chief Medical Officers guidance on physical activity and increase knowledge and understanding regarding the importance of physical development and children’s holistic health and well-being.
At the end of the course practitioners will have developed their knowledge around physical development and the importance of offering physical activity on a daily basis.
