This course has been developed based on the requests of OOS’s. This will be an introductory session to those practitioners who would like to build their knowledge and confidence of the EYFS. This session will offer an overview of the Early Years Statutory Framework.
This session will cover the seven areas of learning and how practitioners can consider what this may look like in their OOS setting. It will explore the key documents that they may use to support their developing knowledge. Children’s play and learning will be explored with practical examples across the 7 areas of learning to secure understanding within practice. It will explore the Characteristics of Effective Learning which will help practitioners understand each unique child and how to engage them fully within a rich play environment. The session will have opportunities for practitioners to network and share good practice which then can be cascaded back to individual settings.
